Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Universally Thinking (Swagger Group, LLC) (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Pulse music library applications for Android, iOS, and related web experiences (the “App”).

By using the App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Contact us at contact@universallythinking.com.

1. Who we are

Pulse is a music library and player that can play local audio files and connect to third-party streaming services. We operate the App and optional account / sync features associated with it.

2. Information we collect

Account information. If you sign in, we may collect a username or email and authentication credentials (passwords are stored as one-way hashes, not in plain text), and library sync data you choose to upload.

Music library data on your device. The App reads audio files, metadata (title, artist, album, artwork), playlists, and playback preferences that you store locally or grant access to. Local files remain on your device unless you export them or enable sync.

Song requests. If you host or join a request session, we process join codes, nicknames, requested track identifiers, vote counts, and session status needed to run that feature.

Streaming connections. When you connect Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, or similar services, those providers authenticate you under their own terms. We receive tokens or session data needed to search and play on your behalf; we do not sell that data.

Technical information. We may collect device type, OS version, app version, crash diagnostics, and limited usage events needed to keep the App reliable. We do not use third-party advertising trackers in Pulse.

Communications. If you email us, we receive your address and message content.

3. How we use information

provide playback, library, editing, export, playlist, and request features;
authenticate accounts and sync library data across your devices when enabled;
connect to streaming services you authorize;
maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose crashes;
respond to support requests; and
comply with law.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. How we share information

Service providers who host infrastructure or deliver email on our instructions;
Streaming partners you connect (Spotify, Apple, Google/YouTube, etc.) under their policies;
Other users in a request session you join or host (nicknames, requests, votes);
Legal and safety disclosures when required by law or to protect rights and safety;
Business transfers in connection with a merger or sale of assets, with appropriate protections.

5. Permissions

Depending on platform and features you use, the App may request access to storage or media files, network, notifications for background playback, and approximate location only if needed to discover nearby request hosts. You can deny optional permissions; some features will not work without them.

6. Data retention

Local library data stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Account and sync data are kept while your account is active. You may request deletion of account data by emailing contact@universallythinking.com. We may retain limited records as required for backups, security, and legal compliance.

7. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

8. International users

We may process information in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate. By using the App you understand that information may be transferred to those locations.

9. Your choices

disconnect streaming accounts in the App settings;
stop hosting or leave request sessions;
revoke OS permissions in system settings;
delete local library edits or exported files on your device;
request account deletion by contacting us.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
